Biografía

El talento unido al esfuerzo

Alberto López was born in Baza (Granada) in 1990, where he started his lessons to become a flamenco guitar player at 11 years old. Then, he started his academic training at the Conservatory “José Salinas”, where he won his first contest as a soloist guitarist at the tender age of 14.

Afterwards he moved to Córdoba, where he obtained his degree on flamenco guitar at the Conservatory “Rafael Orozco”.

His passion for the flamenco has lead him to receive lessons by masters such as Miguel Ángel Cortés, Gerardo Núñez, Manolo Franco or Niño Pura.

At 18 years old he started to win his first international prizes, representing the start of his professional career and making him share the stage with artists such as El Pele, Estrella Morente, Arcángel, Tomatito and Israel Galván, among others.

In addition to his collaborations as a musical director and producer for other artists and shows, his solid wish to bet on the recognition of the flamenco guitar has lead him, as part of his tours, to teach in masterclasses for other professionals.

As a soloist guitarist, he has taken part in important flamenco events such as La Bienal of Seville, La Noche Blanca del Flamenco, the Fez Flamenco Festival, the International Guitar Festival of Belgrade (Serbia), the Lagoa Jazz Fest or the International Guitar Festival of Maldonado (Uruguay).

In 2008 he created his first self composed show, taking him through the Spanish territory and starting his entrance at the international level. In 2013 he presented his second show, “Siento”, starting a tour through Spain and countries such as Jordania, Serbia, Italia, China, Argelia, Chile, Brasil, Uruguay or Japan, among others.

Alberto López is currently working on his new tour, “Detrás de la verdad”, together with a show whose aim is carrying the magic of the flamenco to the audience.

Over his career, he has obtained several prizes. Some of the most remarkable ones are:
